7th Ecology Istanbul 2008 Organic Products and Environment Fair

The Yer Gök Anadolu Society, which is dedicated to preserving cultivation of the ancient emmer wheat in Turkey’s eastern province of Kars, and the Emanetçiler Society, which is endeavouring to preserve traditional crops and agricultural know-how in the İvrindi district of Balıkesir province in northwestern Turkey both had stands at the 7th Ecology Istanbul Fair held on 17-20 January 2008. The photographs show examples of the many heritage pulses and maize grown in this area which were exhibited at the Emanetçiler stand.
