Newly Recorded Olive Variety

During a visit to Bodrum market in December 2007 our field researchers recorded a local olive variety which we had not encountered before. The tavşanböbregi (“rabbit’s heart”) olive is distinctive for its large size. The grower was a woman from the village of Dörttepe.
